About Dr. Danyo
After treating injured patients for 20 years, Dr. Daniel Danyo saw a common theme: the more he treated the whole person, the faster that person recovered and the less chance he or she had of relapsing. As a result of this observation, he expanded his medical education to include nontraditional practices such as acupuncture and physical therapy, and he opened Physician Pain + Wellness.
Previously, Dr. Danyo served as Vice Chairman of North Fulton Regional Hospital’s Department of Medicine, where he also worked as the Rehabilitation Unit’s Medical Director. He was Director of the Brain Injury Unit at Emory University Hospital, as well as an assistant professor and educator for Emory’s Resident Training Program.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Danyo was an attending physician at Joan Glancy Rehabilitation Unit, Promina Gwinnett Medical Center, and North Fulton Regional Hospital’s Rehabilitation Unit. In the late 1990s, Dr. Danyo was a contract physician in nerve conduction and electromyography, rehabilitation and emergency room care at several hospitals, including Emory and Warner Robbins Air Force Base.
Dr. Danyo received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University’s Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, where he was also the chief resident and a fellow in Brain Injury Management and Cognitive Testing.
His other post-graduate medical training includes a Spinal Injection and Discography Preceptorship at KDV Orthopedics in York, Pennsylvania and The Center for Spine and Sports and a surgical internship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Danyo enjoys boating, snow skiing, running, and cycling. He and his wife Becky have three children and live in Alpharetta.
