Nutrition
Weight gain, poor nutrition and inactivity are leading contributors to pain and disability. The team at Physician Pain + Wellness recognizes the important role nutrition management plays in helping patients lose weight, increase physical fitness and improve overall health.
Our nutrition program consists of individual nutritional counseling and treatment combined with weekly educational classes. Lori Woodward, a registered, licensed dietitian leads this program. She provides individual counseling services in diabetes, weight loss and weight control, cardiovascular nutrition (high cholesterol and high blood pressure), women’s health, adolescent and childhood obesity and sports nutrition.
Physician Pain + Wellness also offers the Take Shape for Life Medifast Weight Loss Program, which helps clients achieve safe, rapid and long-term weight loss in a medically supervised setting. The Medifast Program includes a preplanned, portion controlled, very low-calorie diet plan. Our on-staff registered dietitian can help determine if this is the right program for you.
